Sunny Sunday

I have officially been off radar for like three weeks now.
Mostly because I went on a cruise, and the weeks before I was bustin my butt to get caught
up with my homework... especially because it is finals this week..

Anyways... This Sunday was the BEST!
It was so nice to come back to warm weather and enjoy and sunny sunday.
So I thought I'd do an outfit post of my attire today.

The one thing I am crazy about for this summer is aztec.
I don't think I will be able to get enough of it,
bring it all on.

This skirt is secretly a strapless dress...
but I like it better as skirt.
So to hide the fact that it is a dress I added a pop of yellow
with the belt :)

Hope you all had a good sunday,
and for those of you with finals.
May the odds be ever in your favor.

Get Me Through The Day

Things that get me through the day.
With a whole lot of craziness going on in my life
there are a few things in life that I NEED to keep me sane.

1. John Mayer
2. Along Run
3. Chocolate Milk
4. A nap
5. A Beautiful Hike
6. Jack Johnson
7. And the Gospel.

Yup I am getting cheesy and going all out religious talk right now.
But after conference, I have to lay it down.
To be honest, I don't know what I would do without the LDS Church.
Whenever I am at my wits end, and can't handle anything else
and no one can seem to make you feel better.
I have always turned to prayer and the gospel.
I have NEVER been disappointed by Heavenly father and his love for me.
When people ask how I know the church is true.
My plain answer is the fullness and complete joy that it brings me.
And that joy is still there in the hardest times of life.
This is because that joy, is not from clothes, iphones, how many likes I got
on instagram, or if I have the best car.
This joy, comes from the complete love that I feel from Heavenly Father.
Someone can take away your money, your car, happiness, family.
But no one, will never, ever be able to take away the
love that Heavenly Father has for you.
And that is the everlasting joy that the church provides.
The church shows me the way to keep close to my Heavenly father,
the way to get to him one day.
So many people reject the church because of the few members who
think they have the right to unfairly judge another.
Just because someone at church said something rude to you,
and judged you, and made you feel like you weren't good enough.
They are the one in the wrong.
And just because that one person, or few people were
completely rude.
Why throw the church away?
Why throw away the true heart warming, ever lasting
joy that the gospel can bring
And the love that Heavenly father wants to give to you.
He is there waiting, you just have to accept him and let him in.
You will never know that full joy and love he has for you,
until you try to draw nearer for him.
Sorry for the long spiel
But I know the gospel is true.
And I know that no matter what happens in my life, I will get through it,
and I will always have a purpose and everlasting joy in my life.

Hope you all are having an amazing week, and for those of you in college,
Good Luck preparing for Finals :)

Wind Caves

What do we do on a friday night?
We go on a hike to the wind caves.
What are the wind caves you ask?
Well it's a cave.... that was formed by the wind.
They are located in Logan Canyon and the most beautiful
sight you will ever see.
Not only did you see it in the day, but the night as well.
We hiked up in the daylight, and just barely reached the top
for the rest of sunlight and then hiked down in the pitch black.
Which worked to our advantage because we got the chance
to scare the heck out of a group coming up.
They for sure pee'd their pants ;)

Spring has Sprung

This week I got to come home for the weekend
to celebrate Easter with the family.
The first day I got home, it was in the 60's
and without a doubt we were not going to waste a single second
of that brilliant warmth.
My sisters and I all asked for longboards Christmas,
so it was time to pull them out of storage and hit the streets.
Me my momma two sisters, and Lulu (the dog)
Went for a long ride.
Taylor rode a bike since she didn't have a longboard. haha
Sadly we didn't get a picture.
And Lulu got to ride along with us, tugging along because she always
had to be in front.

I just have to confess. That I am obsessed with my dog.
Yes I am completely weird, but Lulu is like my baby.
I love her so much. Anything she does makes me laugh
I have way to many pictures of her on my phone, my family
treats her like a princess, and she has her own instagram.
Yes... I said she had her own instagram.
She'd love if you followed her ;) @lulupete

You have to admit... she is like the most legit dog over.
Don't mess with a girl and her dog.

Most of you are probably thinking, what her mom went longboarding?
Yeah my mom is way sick.
She is a snowboardin, longboarding, beach babe momma.
Ain't nobodies mom is as cool as mine.

This day, was one of the best in awhile
It was warm, relaxing, chill day.
I realized that going to theme parks, shopping, and partying aren't always
the best way to have a great time.
The best times are the times that you get to laugh
at how fat your dog is that she can barely make it down the street,
or your sister wrecks it on a longboard, or how your dad sucks
at charades, just enjoying the presence
and time that you get to spend with the people you love most.
All the things that are bad in life seem to be forgotten later on in life.
But it is the small moments like these that will be
engrained in your mind forever.

Sorry for the long rambling deep thought.
Just had to be said.

Moral of the story.... I love my fam...my dog...my sister

And the Warmth.
Spring has officially Sprung.
